Thinking dark cognac or dark brown. And I like whatever sole treatment is on that shoe above. Sounds like single it is.

Antique cognac is the best calf color IMO from Vass - and yes these are a single sole too

Perhaps you iGents can help me with Vass sizes.

Measured on Brannock device, my right foot is a size US 9.5 E width; left foot is size 9 E. I was told I have a high instep and low arch. I normally wear a size 9EE in Ferragamos, a size UK 8F in Church's; a 8.5E in A-E, and size 8 in Santoni.

I was thinking about pulling the plug on a Budapest Oxford on the U last. Should I order size 9.5 Wide fitting in U last ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

Good choice! I myself own a Budapest Oxford in black on the U-last. I have found Vass to fit true to size. This is at least the case for me. I wear a 45European in Ferragamo and wear the same in Vass in both U and F-last. Hope I was of help.

Fritzl, I can bring mine along for the ICPM (Inner Circle Paprika Meeting), with non-360-welt for comparison.

we haven't used him, yet. sterling gillette and me have to throw the dices, who is first.

sg is opting for materna but for a two eyelet derby(pictured in the sf gallery by von Rothbart)

his name is Karl Weiner, his workshop is in Vienna. i dunno, if he speaks english. if you have more questions ask or pm me.

I am open for both. After all, I am only lusting after this one Materna style (in a lot of different leathers, that is).

AFAIK there are no width fittings. U last will work best for low instep. Do not buy these shoes unless you're happy to sell them.
