This thread delivers. So much more than the normal Appreciation thread.

How "old" are those EGs? They look great.

I decided to treat myself to a new pair of loafers today--came across these from Mezlan, from Spain, said they were eel-skin.
Anybody have any experience with eel-skin or mezlan?

Melzan can be hit or miss. They are world largest maker of exotic skin shoes. I have a few pairs of their alligator shoes that are maybe 20 years old and still looking good.

Here's an very old pair

^^^RL had a captoe in the mid-late 90's with a similar sole. The RL shoe looked very similar to the Cole Haan.

Tricker's Bourton.

Acorn, and C shade gorse acquire a lovely patina.
