I received an invitation yesterday for a Thom Browne event in a new Black Fleece store. Seems there's a new standing Black Fleece store in the Fillmore. Anyone know much about this? Seems like they are signing Thom Browne to a long term deal.

I'm surprised about the Thom Browne event because I was given the impression by folks at BB last fall that while the brand would continue with BB, he wouldn't. They suggested that a different designer was being selected.

While it is not something I can wear as the skinny lapel will amplify my already broad chest, I do like the look, especially that solid navy "classic suit". Are BBBF cheaper now?

suites are nearly half the price now compared to their release a few years ago. The quality, however, has decreased with the price.

The silhouette looks rather unfortunate to my eyes. The shoulders on the 2007s were much more elegant...

I also thought 2007 was the best year for BBBF, and that fall 2007- spring 2009 were better only in that the jackets were longer. However, fall 2009 saw a significant decline and spring 2010 was definitely the worst for BBBF, IMO.

Wasn't F/W2007 the first season for BBBF. It is a line I really wanted to like but is simply not suitable for my built...

I'm in SF and am happy to see the store here. Although the quality of the suits may have gone downhill, the design of the clothes is pretty great, esp the long and short sleeve dress shirts, and the shoes. The SF store is larger than the NYC store and it looks great overall. I hope that it's successful.

Yes. Lots of nice items for that season.
