Really outstanding Vox. The cut of the trou and jacket are perfect IMO.

Is there something going on with the sleeves? The D&S sleeves look just slightly short, while the jacket sleeves look just slightly long.

Well - considering the fact that you do the underneath vest probably the best on here (although jayteecee is fast approaching) i'd have to say this was a homage to you (where's DTO?

Yes - it's a longish commute and eats shoes

homage is where you don't pay copyright fees, right?

Manchester is one of the few UK cities I've not visited. Must go sometime.

Very trad combining - I generally prefer 6x2 DB's but that 4 button looks good on you.

A tad short for my tastes, but monks are the shoes to go short with and you pull it off.

The tie would be perfect without the red stripe... overall I really like this look.

Thanks guys. Yes, it's RLPL, and actually part of a suit, but I wear the jacket on its own almost as much as I wear it as a suit. It's camelhair but not heavy, so I'm happy wearing it into early Summer. Wouldn't wear it from about Jun-Aug/Sept though.

Exceptionally nice colours & textures, and well worth a requote.

I had someone in one of those (the car, not the Liverano jacket!) being a right prat tailgating me the other day. Must be a fun car, I guess, but that bright orange colour alone makes it horrendous. If I had the money to burn and decided I wanted to pay Lambo frequent repair bills, I'd get an 80s Countach, just for the sheer retro-cheese factor.

Is Spring ever going to appear?

Bitterly cold north-easterly wind, needing something a bit weightier:

Details:

Boots: Barker 'Harrison'
Shirt: TM Lewin
Tie (wool): Hardy Amies
Scottish lambswool sweater: Hawick Knitwear
PS: vintage silk
Cap: Kangol
Vintage Suit

Suit is a fairly heavy-weight Saxony Wool weave (I won't call it tweed as it upsets Manton). Vintage and unaltered - I don't think the fit is too bad (feel good across the shoulders and chest, sleeve length is good, trousers are the right length (when I adjust the waist adjusters enough...). I'm thinking an inch and a half of the jacket length might be worth considering. Any thoughts or suggestions please shout.

Condition was immaculate, it was very reasonably priced and I don't think it shouts what period it was made too loudly (smugness points to anyone who can name the year). It appears to be bespoke for someone from a Reading tailor - no other labels.

Great looking sweater and the cap suits you.

Love the look of the fabric. Really nice. I'm not terribly keen on the overall fit, but can't pinpoint why... I think it might be because the pattern's vertical alignment is quite "bowed" outwards in a convex fashion, which seems to fight the concavity of the waist suppression. It creates a slightly confusing optical effect. But clearly a nice find!

- And I concur- my first impression was that the coat is too long. Would be a particularly intersting fabric for a Norfolk...

+1 - and I also like today's tie/pocket square combo.
