Introducing Sunny Sports. Our first shipment from Sunny Sports just arrived with Japan made 40's style chambray work shirts. Here are some details:

Based in Japan, Sunny Sports brings vintage Americana workwear up to the current age. With the "quality of life" as its theme, and with the "quality rather than quantity" as its concept, Sunny Sports expresses good old real America, using the fabrics and the methods used in good old days for sturdy and long-lasting construction.
* Triple needle chain-stitch left long
* Selvedge fabric (shown under collar and vents)
* Vintage work pockets styled from the 1940's.
* Hidden half pocket
* Natural Pima cotton twill inside cuffs and under placke
* 100% cotton
* Blue Stripe
* Made in Japan

The sizing is Japanese, correct? Edit: and the red looks an awful lot like the Hill-Side's plum chambray from Okayama.

No, the sizing is smaller than usual American, but it's not Japanese. I am a true 38, and medium in Sunny Sports fits me pretty well (I tried on pretty much every sample.)

I couldn't help it and just ordered the 'hickory stripe' in a size large... Hope that 42 chest is OK.

I ordered a size 4 from Folk and they indicated that the chest was 42 and it fits me great, so I hope this isn't too small or I'll flip a *****.

sucks that the striped is $20 more for the same weight fabric...

I own a pretty good amount of SS shirts (grey and blue chambray workshirts included) and I would say they are fantastic. The amount of details in each shirt is mind blowing.
For reference, I wear a Large in EG across the board and 42 is perfect.

Note: Some SS is produced in China, if anyone cares.

For that price I do.

40's workshirts at very decidedly non 40's prices. They do look nice though.
