I've been looking into picking up some C+J monks but can't decide whether i want the lowndes (double strap) or the Monkton. Thoughts? Are either deemed "more casual" than the others? Anyone with either of these shoes want to share some real life pictures? I can only stare at pediwears stock photos for so long!

Thanks

I have had my lowndes for 2 years now and they are my favourite pair of shoes.

I have a pair of Savile's for a bit over a year. Wear them here and there. With that said, I prefer the Lowndes

Is that amount of creasing normal? How often do you guys wear these shoes?

+1 to both...I haven't seen Lowndes' (at least in pictures on SF) that look that creased. Maybe it's just the angle and flash?

I'm not a big fan of double strapped monks. I prefer the C&J Monkton:

Don't think so. I have worn them alot. They were my first good pair of shoes. They have suffered alot of rainy days. But they have still survived.

Nice shoes, but they look so creased and what is that stain across the top?

Do you have any nicer pictures from more flattering angles?
