Definitely EG Chestnut. Possibly the 606 last, but since it's older it might be a more obscure last like the 808.

Sorry, but these are pretty ugly/clunky shoes.

Also interested in info on Buster Brown quality compared to what I should have been rockin'.

"Malvern" is a full -brogue (wing tip). The shoe featured is a half-brogue (cap toe), which is EG's stile "Cadogan".

808 which was created for previous 'top-drawer' range, is quite long and sharp (a lengthened 88).
The last in question might well be 32 or 33 (which is by modern standards quite small and shallow):

Innocently strolling the West Village and stopped into Leffot...and then the damage:
The details and finish of the G&G is just breathtaking...however (as discussed here) the new top shelf Sargent line was there as well... and was just exquisite...possibly a step forther than the G&G's in terms of out and out detail and jewel like quality.
The monks are an EG (discontinued OTR item) for Polo -

Negative - they were'nt even for sale there, just samples....I seem to vaguely recall Steven saying similar to G&G ($1,200-ish) Though like EG, they will offer a MTM program for $150 upcharge.
