I suppose this is why the average guy dresses like crap. The surprising thing was how certain the tailor was about these facts. He told me that double-vented jackets have been out of style "for at least 10-15 years."

I have told some people that I'm a "chef", though I've never gone to culinary school, nor do I cook as an occupation.

Oh, and the best food dish that I can make involve rehydrating something and heating it in a microwave.

So.....

What's your point again?

what's yours? your analogy completely fails because people have no reason to listen to your culinary advice.

did you end up going to another tailor? I don't think I'd let that guy do any alterations for me, if i were you.

no, i've actually had a number of simple things done by him already. i get the sneaking suspicion that most tailors are similarly clueless.

that said, any good tailor recommendations for San Diego?

I suppose this tailor also said Dacron polyester is THE best quality fabric in the known universe.

I respect your style preference even though I disagree with it. Personally, I've always preferred side vents. They're so English. So aristocratic. So Old World elegant.

We must agree to disagree.
