Yes, the other stuff to be Mango, and now is the season! I think Philippines mango is the best beside Okinawa mango. But much much cheaper.

Philippine is to mangoes : Patek is to watches.

I've seen Mexican varieties that are sold in the United States as "Manila Mangoes"

Philippine mangoes are some of the sweetest fruit i've ever tasted. i think that's part of the appeal. and so juicy that you don't even need a glass of water after.

Do any of you Phill residents know a hat store where you can still get the top line Paribuntal or better the Balibuntal hats? Please advise.

I met a tailor who used to work in the US that's come home to Manila. He's made me three shirts (one from Cone Mills chambray, two from Italy and Japan mill oxford), and a pair of jeans for my wife (Cone Mills denim). He found a local guy who can make shoes, and is working on getting quality leather shipped here for some of his projects.

I think I made some initial contact with this tailor but didnt end up going to him. Can you post pictures of the shirts?

I followed up with bbaquiran's tailor and I got an oxford shirt done. It should be done within 2 weeks, he said.

Other stuff he's done for me:
Cone Mills chambray short-sleeved workshirt

Another workshirt (in poor lighting, sorry):

^Neat. Are the cuffs and collar fused?

I'm planning to go in June and will bring some fabric for Cornell, whom I love, but the fusing he uses on shirts sometimes puckers, depending on the fabric. My favorite pants are by him. Jacket and shirts probably too..

I also want to get a good Barong made while I'm there. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure. I believe they are very lightly fused, if at all. Sadly I am today almost 20lbs heavier than when I had the pictured shirts made, so I can't wear them anymore.

He made me a shirt with French cuffs as a Christmas present. The cuffs and collar were fused on that one.

Pretty sure Cornell can do a Barong Tagalog for you.

barong- i'd also take a look at silk cocoon, kinda pricey though but their fabric is way nicer than the average barong tailor. if I'm around I'll bring you there.
