Off? Watcha smokin'?

You're free to dislike the other things because this is still a free country.

Charcoal/silver, so essentially yes.

Manton needs to take classes with you, and then blog about it.

Is this a new suit, or has it been around the block a few times? There's some puckering and other things on the right lapel and chest that's bugging me. Maybe it's just wrinkles from the end of a day.

Nine years old. You're just seeing magnified shadows on what is a very smoothly finished, slightly reflective worsted.

Noir.

But, it is very smoothly finished worsted, so it has a bit of reflectivity and sheen that picks up other shades in various lighting. It's very different from the black barathea from the Thomas Fisher book that I have for my Steed dinner suit, which is black hole in almost every light, with none of the greenish cast that I see commonly in black dinner suits.

Anyway, I think of this a...well...party black.

Been pondering my next commission, which will be a black suit. Your photo helped me [thanks] in the sense that I am realizing that black is really a "formal" color in the sartorial [not fashiony] consciousness. Thus, short of a dinner jacket/trousers combo, I think it will be some sort of Blazer Suit - SB, patches, casualish - just for contrast and fun.

Still waxing and waning between a 12 oz. Drapers loose weave hopsack [my maker think it'll be too hot for the temperate weather where I live] or 9 oz loose or tight weave [which he tells me might bunch at the seat and knees if I am OK with that].

Can you stop doing ticket pockets? They're bugging the heck out of me.
