I will look for it. The only other Takashi film I have seen is Audition. I hope it's better then that one...

They're chalk and cheese, really. "˜Izo' is a much more demanding film.

Once Were Warriors. Great movie, but barely known in the US.

Infernal Affairs ... the original HK movie that Brad Pitt later optioned, that became The Departed. Excellent buddy movie, if you don't mind subtitles.

Panic au Village (A Town Called Panic). It's a Belgian stop-motion animated film that is just f-ing hilarious and weird and awesome. It stars Horse as Horse, Cowboy as Cowboy, and Indian as Indian.

(Saw it Saturday afternoon at the E St. Cinema in DC. This is it's last week playing there so go catch it.)
