another Cortese tonight for me. Different producer from last night, however.

On the table were some beautiful swordfish fillets that were cooked perfectly (rolled with breadcrumbs/parsley and cooked with tomato sauce, wine, capers, currants, pine nuts, and a handful of olives).

Meh. Wife is out at a professional networking dinner, so I grabbed a couple odd ends of cheese, a few cashews, and a little sliced meat. Finished off the 06 Peterson Zin we started last night.

Tomorrow night will be something good. Speaking of which, some super nice pork chops, browned and put in a bed of caramelized onions, add pork stock, cover and back. Ideas for which varietal?

Pinot or Sparking dry red cava or White Rhone Blend or a decent Rosso de montepulciano (sp?).

Oh and tonights wine for me was a Le Sur Musedet, really wish I had it with shell fish, though.

Thats the traditional match for pork. The others are more "out there" but they will work well. Cava Rose is underrated...
