Here is my little collection. I also have the same Omega that Bill Smith has (3 posts up) so no point putting up pics of that.

I just saw pictures of a few new releases from Jaeger LeCoultre and thought I'd post them here. Very exciting stuff. It's nice to see that JLC can still make a classically elegant watch. I'd buy any of of these in a heartbeat.

Had that one, only mine was an A serial, just couldn't get past the clasp and the end links for what I spent, the new model seems nice though but at a price and to me not as classic looking as that one, a bit blingy and trendy.

Picked up the Aqua Terra I have now, spent less new than the Datejust and it is made much better, might dump it though to get something for my wife...either that or my Sub is off and I will get something for her and a Speedy pro or something for me...decisions decisions

I'm starting to like rose gold a lot. Looks great on this JLC.

I must be in a minority. I don't find these very elegant. Case and bezel look a little bland and "clunky" in contrast with the dial. I think these would look much better with a thinner bezel and a less angular case. The RG one is much better looking than the steel (WG?) one though, which could benefit from a bit more contrast in the hands (maybe blued?)

You might be right about the blandness--but I think that's to the extent that all Master cases tend to be bland. I agree that the a slightly narrower bezel could be nice, but this is already slimmed down from other watches in the line. Look at the Master Control and Hometime; that's chunky. Most importantly, the lugs here are much lower-profile, more tapered, and beveled. The hands are blued on both steel and rose gold models. My biggest gripe is the '12'. It bothers me that there are no other hour marker numerals, yet they put one at the 12 o'clock position instead of a double triangle marker.

I was talking about the hour and minute hands, not the chrono hands. Nice contrast on the RG, no contrast on the steel.

So . . . do you think they'd do a one-off dial with a double triangle marker at 12 o'clock instead of a numeral?
