I agree with you there. Lately I've found myself focusing on the wrong things when putting clothes together--or rather focusing exclusively on one thing, like color, and neglecting other important concerns, like patterns. I think I've gotten into the habit of looking at my wardrobe and being like, "ok these colors work together and I dig these pieces so lets get dressed and get the hell to school," and then assume that just because the colors work (and even that is debatable in my last pic) that the composition works as a whole and I look good. This is obviously not the case, as I'm beginning to learn through this forum. I think I need to slow down, open my eyes a bit wider and be more judicious with my pairings. Thanks for the feedback, man.

I hadn't noticed this. How can I improve this and how would an oxford/v-neck pairing ideally look?

My first contribution since the new thread breakout. Blizzard conditions out there so why not. From yesterday actually. It's tense up in here lately, must be cabin fever?

Suprisingly good fit on that Brooks sweater - is it a newer knit? Good basic look, regardless.

Thanks. I was really surprised on the fit myself when I tried it on. I got it from a Brooks Brothers outlet back at the start of this past summer for about 75% off sale price, the price was nuts. I sneak back in the outlet store every now and then for knits b/c you can get them cheap, but you really need to try multiples of the same size and it's tough to find one with a decent fit. I got lucky.

Looks good, but I think a double cuff would look better than a large single cuff.. it's killing your height proportions, especially with the shirt untucked.
That button pattern near the hem of the shirt is very cool.

+1. i think smaller or no cuffs at all would make you look a good deal taller. cool shirt.

Tonio, likin the oatmeal cable sweater. And even better that its in alpaca (im half Peruvian so I have a thing for alpaca). Fit is impeccable. Berlin, sweet folk shirt. I like the detail for the last three buttons. I actually just got the Raglan Japanese Flannel in Peacock from them, its fuckin gorgeous and soooo soft. I liked it so much I ordered the brown version too, you know what shirt I'm talking about? At $180 a shirt its a lot, but I think itll be a staple for years to come (and it used to be $300!)
