Good question. Looks like croc or alligator to me. Any educated opinions based upon this photo? BTW, these are Nettleton Lazy Lacers.

Those look really nice.

I'm no expert on exotic skins, but judging by the uniformity of the scale pattern, I would think they are either authentic skins of very high quality or they are faux croc (or gator) skin.

I checked. It is all lined with leather.

I've seen some Norman Hilton stuff, condition is very good to excellent, but it's made in China. Is it worth picking up?

^I've never heard of made in China Norman Hilton. Are you sure? If it is I wouldn't bother. It's not 'real' Norman Hilton.

Found an Eddie Bauer cotton sweater that fits me pretty well today, but the real finds don't really fit me:

Bullock & Jones V-neck 50% cashmere 50% silk sweater, salmon-colored, size L
J. Ashford Cashmere with a purple label, 100% cashmere, light oatmealish-colored sweater size L

These are the first cashmere things I've found at a thrift, so I guess it was just dumb luck! Definitely keeping the Eddie Bauer sweater; the cashmeres are too short for me, so they're trade/sale bait.

Positive. I was excited when I saw Norman Hilton, the quality looks really good, but it says made in China.

Here's a first for me:

100% cashmere. 3 roll 2 with surgeon cuffs. Tagged size 48 (38 US), but I'm a 36 so it's probably going to eBay, though I'll consider offers.
