i hear what you are saying and probably you know my approach to these kind of styles...

the angle of the picture is not flattering. i admit, that they have a strong and solid appearance.

what bothers me is the 360 degree welt. though jay jay, who is really into alden's, said, they look better than his alden's, i find it unnecessary to "copy" a very distinctive style, who inherits his own heritage and not the heritage of vass.

Good quality and in good shape. I would dye them a darker brown.

Yes, I do. And it by it's very nature makes a shoe look chunky, which longwings accomplish plenty on their own.
