cois restaurant/pub opened recently on the corner. If you're in the mood for poutine, fired cheese curds and a Unibrau, this is the place to go.

Having been raised in the Philippines, but grew up in the US, I surely do miss:

- taho
- delicious, truly Filipino home cooking
- CHEAP EVERYTHING, though they may be of dubious quality
- slower, carefree lifestyle
- heavy monsoon rains
- girls who thought I was the ****

I worked in South Korea in 2000 and after I'd been there about 6 months I would have killed for a full English breakfast. Which is weird, because I don't really eat them very often.

And Battenburg cake. Don't ask me why..!
And English chocolate bars.

I've been living in New Zealand since January 2008,
after having grown up in a small town in Minnesota
and then moving to Minneapolis after I hit 18.

The biggest thing I miss is the food.
Minneapolis is rife with amazing restaurants and food to eat.
Even frozen pizzas (which you can get anywhere) were amazing,
but the frozen pizzas here are horrific, even the "gourmet" ones.

The plus side is that it has forced me to learn how to cook, and cook well,
so it's not all bad, and the good things about the country outweigh the bad,
though I've still got a place in my heart for Minneap.

Firstly - anyone who says people is automatically disqualified. That's too easy.

another one for food. Everything from roast lamb to McDonalds. I mostly miss junk food to be honest. I always make a list of stuff to eat when I am flying back, check it off one chocolate at a time.

Cricket. Australian football - even though I hardly watched it when I was there.

Australian sense of humor and the Australian service style...I appreciate it so much more when I am home though, so I guess it is good that I learned that.

DRIVING!!!

Live music.

Couldn't you have your cars shipped over?

Given how corrupt Vietnam and other Communist countries are, I'm sure they won't mind.

+1 on the driving, even though I didn't own my own car back in Oz!

I always enjoyed cricket and sports, but this Boxing Day just past was the first time I'd gotten frustrated at not having any cricket coverage.

And I miss the V8 Supercars. And the BBC/Martin Brundle commentary for the Grands Prix. Here I have to put up with the marsupial Steve Slater.

Count me as not missing driving.

Atlanta traffic, idiot drivers, long commutes, designated drivers / leaving your car when drinking, etc, etc, etc...

Give me the Tube, Black Cabs, and Addison Lee anyday.
