Depends on the collar and sweater neck. OCBD under sweater -

Meh, i guess there are different opinions on this one. I can tell you taht technically, no, it's not kosher, but in real life most people won't notice or care and if it helps you get more millage out of your clothes then just do it. The pinstripes are what would give it away. If it was any other pattern or plain, it would be easier to do. For guys with big wardrobes and who are fussy about traditions, it's a no, but for the average person, I'd say try it a few times. It's not a serious faux pas IMO

On peak versus notch, I don't really think there's any reason one person versus another couldn't wear them. Probably the most important factor is the WIDTH, which should be proportional to the frame and suit size. I'm a 36, so I prefer 2.5-3 inch lapel widths. 3.5 looks a little too wide on me (for single breasted anyway)

Try the Street Wear and Denim version of this thread...
The rescues if I remember are the loosest cut, wider then the Standards.

I pretty much always go IN. Out just seems too 70's to me and often looks sloppy too as the collar ends up spreading out too much

Also, I am set on owning a vintage Burberry trench coat in 38/39R. I want an authentic Burberry with Novacheck, but can't afford a new one with my student budget.
What would be the best way to get in touch with someone in the UK who could help me with this? Post in WTB? Join another forum like Fedora Lounge?

I think it's fine for now. As long as the thread is not broken, I will not resole it.
