I liked those too, and Bostonian are decent shoes. But run a search on Zappos and Endless.com for 'cap-toe' and see what you can find. Hilfiger is making a cap toe with brogueing in dirty suede and leather. I just picked up the suede. Here: http://www.endless.com/Tommy%20Hilfi...7PA,B001FB67U0 That said, keep hunting for some wingtips. Those ones you linked to aren't bad.

No where near me sells oxford shirts and online apparently won't ship anywhere near me, I have found Poplin shirts however I am going for a casual shirt to wear with jeans, will poplin blue/white/grey suffice?

Why not all three, just staged so you can afford them. I'd start with 3, then 2, then 1 (since it's winter, boots are a more wearable item now). Those are very different pieces of footwear and I think any closet would benefit from having all three. (though I'd go with a leather boat shoe, fyi, like Sperry.)

Get all three! I would also buy the boots first, because they are more likely to be on sale right now.

His photo album is linked in about the fifth or sixth post down. PM him and place an order. He only takes paypal. He'll send a picture when order is complete. I believe you can review and approve before being charged. Belts are about $50 a pop now in horse. Nice looking stuff: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=57676

So I've narrowed down my boot search (I think) to Grenson Sharps or Freds. I like the height of the Sharp but I'm not sure about the color, I like the brown the Fred comes in. How much will a boot like this darken over time?

Also has anyone seen the Fred and Sharp in person next to each other? How big is the height difference? Finally how do Grenson boots fit? I'm a US9 in Red Wings (with heavy socks, a US8.5 is too small though), a US9.5 in Sperry's, a US9 in Clarks Desert Boots (after stretching) and a US10 in athletic shoes (vans, nikes, etc)

It'll darken, but that can take a few seasons.

Where did you find the Grensons? Stateside? How much?

Those are beautiful boots. I'm sure they'd darken just with wear, but you can use darker polish to get them darker quicker.

Pediwear online, total comes to about $225 shipped (£139.95 but then they take off £21 in tax and shipping is around £18). Pretty great price, there was a pair on eBay I was watching that never sold then just found them on the BST but they sold there for $180 brand new. I emailed someone about sizing because I want to know how Grenson boots fit and stretch...

I'm looking now - thanks man. That's the best price I've found.

I like the Honey color too. I might get then Vibram-soled when they arrive. I'll probably order this weekend, so keep us posted on what they say re: shipping time, backorders or anything like that. I'm nervous about ordering from a UK source...
