I dislike SS in general though, so I try to stock up on lighter FW fare to get me through the lean months. I've been eyeing some Crockett&Jones as well, and also several less known, well made, mid-tier Italian brands that often pop up for cheap on Yoox, and just got a pair of Mantellassi captoes.

Just realized who Uncontrol reminds me of - the facepainted dude on MGMT's "Kids" video, the unofficial one. One of my little cousins (I think that she is either 19 or 20 now) was into them a couple of years back, and it's stuck in my head. I can even imagine uncontrol having the same types of circa 2010 coffee table talks she probably has with her little friends. Until I come in there with an axe and tell them to GTFO so that I can sleep.

I'm pretty used to it. My mom is a high school graphic design teacher, and the only kids she gets signing up for her class are full-on anime heads, many of whom wear makeup. My mom calls it 'Japanimation' and she fails every kid who comes in and draws huge eyes and tiny mouths and noses on everything.

can you give us an update on which yoox brands you like? i read the old threads but was wondering if anything new was discovered
