Not sure about a secret except that I think it's very important to do the fittings in HK. It seems to me that you would be getting more attention that way. I did measurements and fabric selection in NY and then fittings in HK. I think I did 3 fittings in HK as I was pretty specific on details. A few things I neglected to mention (in hindsight I would have made the breast pocket a half inch higher), but they pretty much did everything I asked.
