Do you use a different moisturizer before bed than you do in the morning?

There is nothing wrong with using moisturizer, and you should really use one before bed and in the morning.

If you live in the northern half of the U.S., your skin will be begging for it in the morning and evening because of the cold, dry air--and because you have the heat turned up high and the oil is being taken from your face that way. A lot of guys take long hot showers in the morning and forget to moisturize after. That is why the area around your nose looks it has just been hit by a snowball (with white flakes everywhere) and it is also why your skin will get more oily--not less--as it works to replenish what was lost.

If you want to maintain some sort skin elasticity (plain english-no wrinkles) into your 40s and 50s and so on, then using a quality moisturizer is key. (Malin + Goetz) Vitamin E Facial Moisturizer is pretty awesome--fast absorbing and great results. So is Anthony Logistics Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15. Truthfully, there are a ton of great ones out there--so don't be a cheapskate and "use your women's". That is just stupid and could be damaging as well. I don't know if every guy should spring on a night cream as well, but it definitely doesn't hurt to look that way.

You can name-call and laugh all you want, but if you aren't moisturizing regularly, you will be a wrinkled, sloppy ug-mug who will be begging for some play. Kind of like Carrot Top, only less well known.

27 and starting to age around my eyes (dark spots, squinting lines and sprouting greys upstairs!) so I need to stay as youthful as possible to keep attracting your 18 year old daughters.

I need to make up for lost time in my teenage years when I worked in outdoor jobs for about 6 summers and had no concept of sunblock or sunglasses

I use multiple creams to try and combat this aging as best I can, but cant really tell what works since I mix and match:

- Target and Olay brand night creams
- Some neutrogena eye treatment lotion
- Target and olay brand serum
- Neutrogena mens face lotion (spf 20)
- Nivea sensitive aftershave/moisturizer

Call me gay, thats fine. I dont want to look like an old man when Im 30.

This would be the thread in which I ask for before and after pics. Please, show me the usefulness of the socalled moisturisers.

Have you tried Avene Eluage, it's a pretty effective retinol treatment, which is probably one of the only treatments out there that is going to have long term reversal effects. If you can't find that one, then just look for any good retinol product. I know that you already know this point, but also make sure that you're using sunscreen (you probably know that already), as excessive sun exposure is probably the number one cause of visible aging for many people (outside of, you know, getting old). I don't know much else outside of don't skip moisturising, cleanse and, if it's good for you (many under 30 are not benefited by this, but some are) exfoliate. Also, ****.

I have dry hands....like crackly dry. I use some Vaseline aloe stuff on them. Then I rub my face with my hands. Then I'm moisturised. This is called being a boy.

although I have to admit that during the winter I ahve recently taken to moisturizing my feet, otherwise all the thick calloses crack.

Okay: truth here. I use Aveeno 98% of the time. During the winter holidays, though, I go with a Burt's Bees Cream, but that doesn't really start until my hands start cracking and bleeding. This comes from winter training (salty hands, yum), central heating, holiday cooking (Thanksgiving in particular is a bear), and the hand-washing that goes with it all.

same moisturizer in the morning as at night ... can't keep track of a full time skin care routine
