Elijah Craig 12. Meh. This is one of those whiskies that tries really hard to be full-bodied, but still comes across generic and cheap. I'll take Buffalo Trace any day of the week over this, and at nearly 60% of the price. Do you guys really love this stuff? MEHHHHH.

Yes. This is from a local steakhouse and I think that they are still learning how to serve absinthe. This time they slow dripped the water to make sure to get a good louche effect.

As for how it was, I have little to compare it to since I'm no expert. Very strong anise flavoring and quite good to my unsophisticated palate. Beyond that I'm unable to be of any use to you on this question other than to say that I enjoyed it.
