I've never got a Drake's tie, or indeed any other, with so much packaging. What about the environment?

Nice tie though.

Thank you, Leon. The box will probably be used as a doll's bed or something. My two-and-a-half-year-old is quite resourceful.

Does Will have an online store or do you just drop him a line?

I'd say just drop him a line and tell him you're interested in the Drake's striped cashmere ties. Feel free to forward him my post. The photos were pulled from his site.

apropos - really nice stuff. I'm off to Europe next month and will hopefully have luck half as good. I particularly like the green and navy/lanvender with motifs. I have a heavy linen tie in a similar design that I love.

A tip: every major Western/Northern European city will have an 'upscale' departmental store - e.g. Illums in Copenhagen, Stroms in Stockholm, Harrods in London, etc (i.e. the equivalent of Bergdorf or Neiman). Some will have a 'store brand' selection of ties, often made by noted Italian makers such as E. Marinella or Calabrese - that is where you may wish you look first if you seek soporific ties that are made well.

Extra points for the way the tie on the right blends into the carpet?
