*Not Seinfeld related*

After reading some self-help blogs it got me thinking, how many people can actually claim that they are in control of themselves? Sure there are things such as smoking that might not be so easy to stop, but what about the small stuff? Being 19 myself it cringes me to think that in 10-15 years I will still make New Years resolutions to wake up at 6 and have a 7 day gym workout. Yes it takes work but I'm hoping I'll have more important things to worry about then self control on menial tasks.

So how is it working out for you? Can you (honestly) claim that you can implement or get rid of a habit by choice?

When I was younger, adults all seemed to have their shiz together. As I get older, I realize most people are just big kids.

In some areas, yes.

In other areas, not so much.

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".

i feel like you're talking to me

i think it was Hudson Taylor that said

"A little thing is a little thing, but faithfulness in little things is a great thing"

things like going to work on time and living a healthy lifestyle might not seem like a big thing, but i think that many times they matter more than the big things

Love Shelley. Ode to the West Wind is his best.
