I'm not sure what their obsession is with having models jump and photographing them in mid air is.

They're trying to mimic Neofinitia.

Yes, they pin everything. And can deceive you into making something look super tight and perfect on, when it just won't fit on your body naturally that way. Just tricks they do with pins and angles/photoshop.

+12 on them ending the "photographing actors/athletes" jumping up in the air trend.

I have a huge backlog of "Gentleman's Quarterly" given to me by my father; I daresay they get more read time than the new issues of GQ.

I stopped paying attention to GQ when I realized that they believe Dolce & Gabbana makes reputable mens shoes.

^^ Their estimation of quality of a brand is directly proportional to the advertisements that brand places in their magazine

GQ ,Esquire and many other glossy lifestyle magazines are not exactly sartorial nirvana.

If you want hidden agendas, product placement and false sartorial advice , continue to read it and being influenced by it.

I once read in an issue of GQ that the proper way to purchase a suit and a leather jacket is to size down until you get a size that you can just barely not do up anymore, and then buy one size up.

Basically they say it should be at tight as possible which is ridiculous. Slim fitting is one thing, too tight is just stupid.

I can't tell you how obnoxious this is. Some poster's here emulate it frequently, unfortunately.
