Did you stop watching? The end is amazing.
^Do you not understand how a fight/wrestling/joint locks work?
I do, just don't find them very entertaining.
Do you train or fight? I apologize if you do and if your comment comes out of experience rather than ignorance, but this is the type of attitude that makes me dislike casual fans. I have a striking background, but the clinch and ground game is remarkable, and really, the strength of MMA.
Just a casual fan. I understand it takes great skill, just from my perspective not very entertaining.

I think that it's a matter of education, then. I think that MMA (and any of its constituent parts) is one of those sports that, the more you really understand about it (especially through practice,) the more interesting it becomes. Actually, I think that if you just go to one BJJ class with an open mind, you'll be impressed by how technically interesting it really it. You're in Toronto, right? I think that there is a 10th planet school there.
Gegard fought?? Man I wish I could have seen this:
From an experience point of view, I never respected competitive fighters very much at all until a few years back I went a few rounds (boxing) with one of Paquiao's camp students who I contracted to give me a few personal training sessions (it was fairly cheap). I never before experienced fatigue like that. My heart and lungs felt like they were going to jump out of my chest (and these were just 3 minute rounds - and he wasn't fighting back). It was pretty much only after that that I knew what kind of condition you have to be in to do any kind of competitive fighting, and in relation to which I was just a lackluster lard-ass. It was a good experience though.
