5'4" Suit Length

I'm new to proper fitting suit. All my suits are ill fit, because I was a broke student, now I working to rebuild my professional wardrobe.

1) What is the proper jacket length for someone is is 5'4"?
2) Where should the sleeve of a shirt land? The person who alter my shirts, think it should be below the wrist even with my request to have it end higher.

-Jacket length should cover your ass, at a minimum.

-get a new tailor, because he is not doing what you want.

I am pretty sure that men who are 5'5" or shorter should not wear suits.

So what should short men wear? It's not like you see a lot of these in stores, unless you want to go bespoke.

When unbuttoned with your arm at your side, the sleeve should extend a couple of inches past your wrist. When buttoned, the shirt cuff should be snug around your wrist so it won't slide down your hand. The extra length is there so your cuff stays in place as you bend your arm. Your cuff shouldn't ride up if you move your arm around.

As I understand it: when your arm is placed on your hip, 'akimbo'; the shirt cuff should end up, ~1.5 cm above the knuckle of your 5th finger. Your cuff should lay so that some (~1/4&quot

shows below the sleeve of your jacket.

The cuff can have some wiggle room if you wish for your wristwatch.

Really? I always find them at least an inch too long. I'm 5'4" and my coats are around 27" long, and this seems about right. Most OTR 'S' sizes seem to be 28" or longer. It seems they're made for people ~5'6" (give or take an inch at most), with 'R' sizes an inch longer for people ~5'8" and 'L' another inch longer for those ~5'10"+.
