Last year i tried to get him good knives and he didn't want them, so this year I'm going back to scotch, since he never turns away a good bottle. He likes single Malts but I don't know his preferences beyond that.Originally Posted by GQgeek

Scotch is hard since guys who are in to it have different tastes. If you can find out what he likes that would be the best option.

these were the 2 i thought of immediately.
I just recently tried the Yamazaki and was pleasantly surprised. It's a go to for me this winter.
