How is the sizing on (non-Purcell) JV shoes? TTS or half size large?

Can anyone identify the shoes the model is wearing in the burgundy version of these pants? Urban Outfitters doesn't seem to have anything like that in their shoe section.

Now I'm confused. Of all the threads I've searched out most people say either TTS or half size large.

I thought so, but looking for the specific model. Alternatively, is there a compiled list of alternatives to Clark's desert boots?

According to this image:

http://www.wolverine.com/US/1000mile...09_11_sean.jpg

the wolverine 1000 mile boot fits really well.

This boot is out of my price range so I'm curious do the Iron Rangers or Gentleman Travelers fit like this? Any one have any fit pics in the IR or GT. In product shots they look about the same as far as thickness. Know of any other boots that have this look?

I'm looking to get a pair of boots which will be a step-up from the overly informal sneakers I've been wearing. However, when I looked around the forums I saw a huge variety of different types of boots being recommended and I have no idea how to make a decision. Clarks DB seem to be a favorite, but I wonder how versatile they are considering you probably can't get them wet.

What boots would you guys recommend that look good, are fairly versatile, and, most importantly, are comfortable? As for budget, I'd like to stay under $150 or so. Also, if you recommend a pair of boots which is not true to size, please mention that in case I decide to buy them.

Thanks.

Really should have done separate streetwear shoe and streetwear boot threads. Too much boot bullshit going on in here, and hardly any shoe postings.
