My boyfriend tends to dress up a lot. He dresses quite well, as so do I. Which is nice for when we go places.
I'd describe his style like Chuck Bass, from Gossip Girl.
Very nice.
But.... I'd rather see him in some slim fitted, well worn nudie jeans, a rugged belt, plain v neck cotton tee, and some converse or vans.

Laid back, and not so couture.
I don't get to see that side often.

I really liked the feel and look of the regular shirts over non-iron but I don't make enough money to be blowing it on dry cleaning for my shirts. I also am too busy to be able to iron and starch my shirts.

I do keep a few iron shirts but the vast majority of my shirts are non-iron. One of these days when I make a lot more money, I'll go completely to iron and just have my shirts drycleaned but until then it's non-iron.

J Crew: It's cheap and usually available.

Brooks Brothers: There's something about the trad Ivy look.

Hickey Freeman: Same reason as Brooks Brothers.

Uniqlo: It's basically Japanese Old Navy/Gap, but the fit is good.

Banana Republic: Indestructible socks.

Allen Edmonds: Good value at price point; Company seems to be customer-friendly.

Cotton socks from gap. Target brand Merona sport shirts. I don't know what it is about those shirts, but they fit me the best and and have usually non-obnoxious colors. for the current season.

Cotton Socks

If I don't have any classes, I'm in a t-shirt and jeans.

Sometimes I go to class in a t-shirt and jeans.

I've tried to wear them out so I can wear better socks, but they refuse to have holes/wear in them. Plus I got them for like $2/pair.

Massimo Dutti (Inditex group, ie Zara) cotton sportcoat. As good as the venerated Italian brands for casual dressing at about 1/20th the price. Not fully canvassed, but great value. I picked up one at their outlet for €20 ($30).

Massimo Dutti sportshirts. Better workmanship than half of my Borrelli shirts.

Takes exactly 5 minutes to iron a shirt.

You know, it's funny how American Apparel started by using skanky, damaged-looking models who seemed as though taking the gig saved them from a lifetime of low-budget Appreciation -- and now they're unapologetically using actual Appreciation stars (Sasha Grey, etc.) in fully nude poses. One wonders what business AA is actually in these days.
