Another Dyptique candle that I like is the one by John Galliano. It has a smoke, leather, wood, smell like an old library. (my wife doesn't care for it however).

Dang, checkout the price on these things. That's some big-timer candles.

I was thinking of those you get at the supermarkets, from Glade

My favorite candles that aren't scented are Santa Rosa. They are available through Rosa Ann Hall in the US. They are hand made "cathedral" candles. They are dipped hundreds of times to build up the layers and the wax has a beautiful amber color. These pillars are about 4 1/5" but they vary due to the nature of being hand made. They come from a little village outside of San Miguel, Mexico. They seem to give off a more golden colored light than a typical pillar candle. I think they are one of the more unique looking candles I've been able to find anywhere.

For unscented candles, I like Root pillar candles from Ohio. I think they're made by the Amish. They sell only wholesale, so you have to get them through a restaurant.

For scented, you really can not beat Diptyque candles. I love the saffron, but they've discontinued this scent.

Cire trudon is killing it, I must say I didn't know they were sold in the States. I also like some dyptique and another brand which name I forget that smells like colonialism.

The Annick Goutal Noel candle is great for, of course, this time of the year.
