Who makes the best khakis as far as construction? I want to find a pair that is heavy weight and has really good stitching. Not a super slim fit but not baggy. All the khakis I get end up falling apart.

Off the top of my head, Bills Khakis, Save Khaki and Incotex. I've never owned any of them but I hear somewhat good things from them.

Not the best, but probably best for the money in my book are JCrew.

Someone mentioned Bills Khakis. I always thought they were old dude pants but they have the M3 style which they say is a tailored fit. Their Bullard Field pant looks good and is 10.2 ounces. I'm going to order them in the M3 and see how they work out. $165 but if they are tough they will be well worth it.

Thick. Good stitching. Classic straight leg fit. Similar to the Jcrew classic fit but thicker/better quality.

Fit pics when you get them? I was looking at them yesterday but wasn't sure how they would fit.

Will do. Anybody know how thick the J Crew broken in chinos are weight wise? I have some but I'm just wondering if it will be worth it to go for the Bills.

Mauro,

What do those RRL officer field trousers look like? You have one size left which happens to be what I wear.

RRL officer chinos have been great for me. Buttons are sewn on shoddily for such expensive pants, but I reinforced all the stitching myself and everything is fine now.
