Very nice - esp. for the money. I happened to look at a CW catalog last night and was surprised to find a few mechanical movements that looked pretty good. Good warranty also. I suppose that he's getting his movements from the consolidated shops, but nice nonetheless.

My next purchase:

The movement is mechanical with hand winding ETA Unitas caliber 6497. It has 17 jewels and beats at 18,000 half vibration per hour. The case is stainless steel with, Pagoda magnifying crystal which is made of hardened mineral glass. Attractive coin edge bezel to add to the retro look to the watch. The case back is held in place with six screws. It is waterproof to 50 meters. The dial is mat black, with tritium luminous numbers. It comes in leatherette presentation box with warranty card and 1 year warranty. Diameters 46 mm excluding crown, 50 mm including crown, lug to lug is 54 mm and thickness of case is 12 mm, total thickness including pagoda glass apex is 20 mm

I'm afraid I must, with respect to the owner of the watches, agree here. I would consider wearing the mini tank for black tie formal events but thats it. They are all very bling, and very feminine.

Here is my two favourites, I do have a few more that aren't worth posting though. I hope to add many more in the next 20 years, but I think it's a good start for someone in their 20's still (just).

1. 1960's Omega Seamaster Cosmic Automatic (with new strap)
2. Tissot PRC200 Chronograph

Lovely Calatrava Z. How big is that particular model? Has Patek increased the size of these recently as most other makes seem to be doing?

I really like blank faced, black watches. The problem is I'm having a hard time searching for them because I don't know the proper keywords. Does anyone know of any watches like the two below, or could anyone suggest a proper keyword when google searching this type of minimalist watch? Many thank-yous in advance.

I also really like this cheapo Marc Ecko watch - just something about it that I can't put my finger on.
