Thank you, Holdfast. Common sense is an overestimated phenomenon*. (Well, sometimes it is.)

I think most modern machines have this setting, but I'm not sure.

Wow! You need to start up a shop on Etsy and start making money on these things! That is talent.

EXACTLY what I was thinking as well. To the OP, wonderful job and a great show of graciousness for sharing your work with us. What kind of sewing machine do you have? I've been shopping for sewing machines recently and arranging for sewing classes as well. Now you have seriously inspired me!

Well, she has an interesting fulltime job, so I think it will stay limited to small family projects. But thank you.

Thank you for the kind words. The machine:

I really don't know how it compares to other machines. We just went to a sewing machine store and asked for advice.

Now for something simpler, and no machine

Preparations for Three Pocket Squares

A very complicated pattern:

PS#2: Lightblue puppytooth cotton

PS#3: Purple/white cotton (see lining of 'Zegna coat')

These will take some time, since yet another project will go first from now.

No. I could design a label though. Something like this (first sketch):
