Seriously though, this is a pretty cool project. It's kind of sad that children will eventually grow out of their clothes, but hand me downs are always an option (assuming you have more in the pipeline).

I'm looking forward to seeing the end result!

That's awesome! I was just telling the wife yesterday that I think I'm going to have to buy a sewing machine as my 7 yo is tall and thin and OTR dress clothing just doesn't fit him. This was just the nudge I needed. Thanks!

Very cool, this makes me want to go find the nicest $10 thrift blazer I can and tear it apart just to see what goes on inside.

I used to do that with electronics as a kid (phones, VCRs, TVs) but I'm sure it never even occurs to a lot of people that there is literally more to their clothing than meets the eye.
