But honestly, since when are judging merchandise by the quality of the sales associates? Most of them there are kids anyway ... the website has much better deals most of the time. I won't buy anything at full price, but when the sale hits, the shirts are good value.

If you tell me these shirts are bad, I don't know what to say:

The sleeves are a bit long, but not by much. Since I wear these shirts rolled up it is not an issue anyway.
I have the lower right turquoise and also the same shirt in red.

Actually really like the one in the top left corner. Doesn't look like it has logos, either.

the long sleeves remind me of a certain designer brand that everyone goes gaga over *cough dior cough*

None of the flannel/plaid shirts have the moose logs on pockets - they do have the 'abercrombie and fitch' tag stitched below the bottom button. It is not that visible when wearing the shirt since is on theat side of the placket where the buttonholes are.

I am definitely getting more shirts when they go on sale.

A&F has a massive hill to climb to overcome their horrible branding. If it is true that the fabrics are decent, the cut is good, the shirts hold together when washed and there are no logos, then maybe some of their shirts are fine.

But honestly I can't go in their stores. It is not a snob thing. They are creepy.

Honestly, I just don't like their marketing. I think most of us hope to buy into an image when we buy clothing, and I'd rather not buy into the A&F image.

I have the shirts for a month now and they are excellent. The flannel especially is really nice. This is the reason why I waited before I posted this thread - I wanted to check them myself.

I completely agree with you on the branding.

This is what I don't get - I thought SF cared more about the quality than branding/image.

Not a snob thing. Besides running into a brick wall of stink when you walk in it's always dark and the customer service is terrible. I might pick up a shirt off their site when on sale though just to give it a shot.

I too have a couple of their flannels - last season's, and they were on clearance for $35 or so. The material's decent enough - nice and thick, the fit is slim through the torso, and I was able to rip off the canvas tag at the hem pretty easily.

Only problem are those sleeves

Type in "Abercrombie and Fitch" into google images and you'll see more than 50 shirtless guys and one photo a t-shirt. Dead serious.

whats so bad about anf branding? it basically says something like "if you wear anf, you are attractive, fit, and popular"... nothing wrong with either 3 of those things

I can understand not liking the image the brand pushes. But how does any of that affect the actual clothing? You don't take the lousy music, bad customer service, and terrible cologne smell with you (well, maybe that last one isn't true, though a shower would fix that). And if the clothing is unbranded, as a number of these shirts are, then how exactly are you yourself pushing this image? No one's endorsing the brand's hideous sweatshirts or anything. Just the logo-free shirts that allegedly have several characteristics this forum values: good fit, fabric, and overall look.
