Lately I've been having to...work...even during...lunch. These next two months are not looking good for me, in terms of having free time and hitting the Specs.

You don't need to get Weller today, but you should certainly put in on your list. Its really excellent. I prefer it to Stagg some nights even. They fight for my affection.

No Way. After work is a sketchy proposition at best: errands take - easily - twice as long, and there's no Specs (or any decent liquor store) directly between work and home. Hate running errands after work. It's usually late enough when I step out of the office anyway.

Although, there is always Saturday.

BTW: nice call on the Zacapa.

Thanks, I figured you'd like that. Weller is like the Zacapa of bourbons.

Are liquor stores closed on Sunday in TX too? They are here, it sucks.

Just what I needed to hear. hmmm. Weller, then.

Yeah - the liquor stores are closed on Sundays. Well, I think they are. I just never needed liquor on a Sunday in the past, so I've never tried. Beer and vino, though, are sold on Sundays.

Cracked a bottle of 08 Castle Rock Pinot Noir. I bought this bottle a few months ago, at the recs of folks here for a dirt cheap Pinot. I'm not sure about this.

Castle Rock sonoma county was always a great choice for sub-$20 pinot noir. Then again, I haven't had the '08...

Don't. Not even sure I'm going to use it for cooking.

Totally OT, but a good cooking wine is Georges Duboeuf Pinot. It's like $6.50 a bottle, good enough flavor to cook with, poor enough flavor to not feel like you're wasting a nice wine.
