Ducky Brown went decidedly vintage with his latest Spring '10 take on The Florsheim Shoe.

Updated for this season with exposed metal eyelets, a soft square toe, and fresh color combinations while still paying homage to the original via the revival of the V-Cleat heel.

What's not to like?

How's the construction? I remember reading some early reviews that suggested it was not so hot.

I don't like the shape of the toe.

OK I need to come clean, these are actually an unusual vintage pair. I never saw another pair quite like these so made up some quick copy imagining I would be called out in short order.

On another note, I heard that the Ducky Longwings are actually made in the USA according to a website that sells them. Have been unable to confirm...

Edit: Rebel called me out, good catch.

I have a pair of F09 ducky brown longwings and have nothing but good things to say about them- as comfortable as my BBBF alden longwings although I don't know anything about their long term wear. They seem to be as well made as the aldens to be honest.
