Anyone have any info or suggestions as to how the 1000 mile boot fits? Particularly compared to Red Wings? I'm normally a 9.5, but a 9 in RWs, so where does the 1k fit in?

the 1000 mile boot runs a half size to a full size depending on your foot width. I went down a .5 size and they fit great. So the best thing is to take your sneaker size and go done half.
I sell them at my store so if you would like check out my website and go from there.
Best,

My normal shoe size is 9 or 9E. I went down a whole size to a 8 for the 1000mi Boots. I put in some massaging gel insoles. Perfection.

So Farinelli's isn't doing anymore special orders for anything else besides the 1000 mile...Any other retailers who will?

Looked at the retailer list on the website and couldn't find anyone who was selling the Darby boot in brown.

I tried these on over the weekend and I sized down 1 full size. I have narrow feet though.

Anyone with a side by side comparison of the brown and rust, I don't quite trust catalogs pictures and the blogs and websites that sell them are either missing brown or don't have a good comparison photo.

Are the colors uniform or is there a tone/ slight patina to them?

I've seen the rust and black in person and I must say they both look really good but the rust color is REALLY nice.

Alright, i have credit somewhere and i think i'm gonna grab me a pair in black or brown, as rust is not available at this particular place unfortunately.

Which would be most versatile? I primarily wear jeans... tshirts/button downs but not a lot beyond that.

Also, i dont know my damn shoe sizing all that well... ugh. Seems like everything i try on fits me so different i dunno. My foot measures just over 10" when i stand. I wear 8.5 - 9 in various shoes.

Wait, thats the 1000 mile? Earlier fit pics made them look a bit chunkier? I almost think i liked them better a little bigger looking... maybe your jeans are throwing it off? How big are the leg openings on them? They look rather wide...??

yeah the jeans are rescues so the leg opening is wider that what most people here probably have
