She always said she focused on "simple" dishes because that's all she could do. She had no skill to pull off more complex techniques, flavor combinations, or show any creativity.

Leah is a talented cook, and she's worked for a lot of top-notch chefs and restaurants- after graduating from the CIA, she worked for David Burke at Park Avenue Cafe, studied and worked in a one star Michelin restaurant in Italy, worked for Daniel Humm at Eleven Madison Park, and at Centro Vinoteca where she was promoted to executive chef when Anne Burrell left.

And, if you take a look at her record on the show, she did pretty good at the beginning but the bottom dropped out at the end with the stress of the show and the guilt over kissing Hosea (Seriously, she could do soooo much better than that guy) But, just because she struggled at the end doesn't take anything away from what she did earlier in the show just like it would be unfair to say that Jen this season is a bad cook because she's struggling right now and ignore all the awesome dishes Jen did earlier.

Leah won three quick fire challenges, and was in the top three for another quick fire challenge. And, she finished in the top for two elimination challenges.

I don't see how that in any way compares to Robin, who's only won quick fire challenge, and was praised one other time when Michael Voltaggio elevated that dessert in Restaurant Wars.
