Navy with black shoes is uncontroversial. I prefer #8 (burgundy) though.

Sorry, I'm new here - is there a general consensus on wearing navy with black shoes?

Black shoes are not looked highly upon in this forum though for conservative business dress I often see black as the only pairing with a navy suit.
Note to OP: JankyPose(tm) not necessarily required when you put on the shoes and the suit.
Here's a pic of me in a navy suit and some similar colored shoes:
What do you all think about this shoe with navy suits?
Thanks for all the suggestions. I went ahead and grabbed a pair of the AE Strands in walnut for $190. At that price, why not?
Guys, help me out in this predicament, I am considering between two pairs of shoes, the AE Strand in walnut at $200 or a pair of Handgrades C&J Selbourne Chestnut antique calf for $450. Which would be a better buy keeping in mind the following attributes: value, design and sleekness as well versatility of use.
