i have a cotton-cashmere sweater and a merino cardigan from j crew, so so quality.

Want to get the sherpa hoodie, but seems a bit too pricey at $88. Old Navy and Gap are selling their versions for $40 and $70, respectively. Hmmmm...

There are a few sweaters I don't like, but ****** in general? I have not found that to be the case.

Oh, I'd definitely go for Old Navy over J. Crew any day. Go for it! And then why don't you start an "Old Navy F/W 09" thread and post some fit pix there.

Maybe you're buying them too big? The arm hole issue reported here is strange to me. I don't find this with any of my sweaters. Then again, I don't go around with my arms straight up in the air a lot, so who knows. Could we some pix of this phenomeon?

I prefer a 'GAP/BR/ON F/W 09' thread.

Nah, each deserves its own thread.

Guess I better not admit to liking the Gap for certain basics.

Are they longer than usual or about the same.
