This is the second day of nothing but rain here in DC and it's freezing.

Also, women.

There you go. Took like 45 minutes to get from Harvard to South Station. And it was like 110 degrees. I think I was next to an SF member though - hunter green checked topcoat w/ticket pocket, black wholecuts, stylish briefcase, good haircut.

I find that jumping in with the grossest suggestion possible helps to shut them up.

I've just lost a friend to cancer a few months ago. After that my wife's friend was found out to have BC and is starting her 2nd round of therapy this week. THEN a very dear friend of mine, and also my wife's OB/Gyn and my daughter's swim coach, a mother of two girls, and someone I knew since HS was just operated on last week for colon cancer. What is going on?!!!

As sad as this is to say, sometimes, especially with something as horrid as cancer, you've just got to be happy its not you and yours. I hope your friends pull through.

Acidicboy: jeebus - hope they pull through. Have you been screened lately?

Right now, I'm pissed at family, more than usual. In-laws are fine, but my mother went up to the NE to visit her sister: at the best of times they get along like oil and water, but this time it was quite bad. Apparently some toes got trod on quite heavily, and my name came up as a cudgel to be used against my mother. Never mind that she brings that upon herself, and never mind that she seldom filters what she hears against what she knows to be truth, still I had to hear about and respond to the screamed invective that these two sisters flung at each other. W-T-F.

Despite having a brother, I still seem to be an only child. Weird

The LX decal fell off my car. Now how are people supposed to know I'm a big timer?

thanks, guys. no need to feel sorry for me, my friends are in the ***** and I'm the lucky one. I'm gonna visit my friend later today, all results aren't out yet, but I heard the cancer is still in its early stage so hopefully she gets well in time.
