sunglasses in the winter?

I want to get my friend a nice gift but don't wanna spend my money I do have an unopened pair of Oakley sunglasses but I'm not sure if it is proper to give it when the summer just passed

They would be a good gift. Sunglasses are needed year round.

UV and glare is still very much present in winter.

Sunglasses are VERY useful in the winter ... assuming you don't live above the Arctic Circle.

Yeah, I dont understand questions or sentiment like this.

I am pretty sure the sun shines all year round and not just in the summer.

They arent SUMMERGlasses they are sun glasses.

Of course your friend might just ask the same question you just did even though they are useful all year round.

Actually, when the sun isnt hidden for large periods of time, sunglasses or tinted goggles are required. The sun is much more dangerous for the eyes there then anywhere else. The Inuit even invented snow goggles just because the sun could be so damaging. (snow blindness)


And back on topic....

I think sunglasses are great for winter. I've actually got to get a new pair soon as well. My tortoise shell ones look pretty ****** with my black coats.

Sunglasses are always a great present.

They're part of this array of objects I do like but i do not love making them the perfect present to receive.
