Edit: In the tread British Ties, RJman and Will each make a comment about L'Escalier d'Argent.

You are correct. I was there on Monday and added several bow ties to my collection. I also like the proprietress; she is quite helpful and obviously loves what she does there.

They have a gold and red brocade at this moment. It is stunning.

Edit: My original title/tag mistake has been corrected thanks to RJman's advice.

You might say "where outside of the shop" and leave it at that. Wonderful tie patterns though.

R... glad you liked it... BTW, I believe the original poster of a thread can edit the title, but I've never tried.

Thank You RJman ... I was able to edit ... after selecting "Go Advanced." It was almost intimidating.

Sorry, Will ... I'll add an appropriate cross reference to the orignal thread.

Understood. We did not buy ... although, my youthful nephew wanted me to get him the gold and red brocade one. However, he recently ruined a formal vest I loaned him ... affording good reason to pass on the rather pricy waistcoat.

The ties are, beautiful ... making it difficult to choose.

This place sounds like Favourbrook. Would that be right?

If the waistcoats and ties at Favorbrook are made using cloth based on historical designs, yes.

I will add that I noticed only bow ties at L'Escalier d'Argent.

I am resurrecting that old thread since, after years of resisting, I finally bought vests at that shop. Two so far this year, and I am on my way to buy a third. Just wanted to spill that out.
