Thanks for that...My double RRL chambray is smaller fitting than the secret washes in L... I'd love to get my hands on a Jcrew chambray, priced down, to have a backup chambray option in L..

Thanks Robert.

Ha, I like that - loitering and pondering. It's amazing they haven't offered you a manager's position there. I mean sheeze, last time I was in a J Crew store I asked to see the Redwing rugged classic in dark wood. The confused sales clerk stated:

"Uhhh-huh. Yeaaaa, ummm......I think.....what do they look like?"

They are the big work boots.

"Ohhh......you said rugged?"

Well, they are made by Redwing, in collaboration with J Crew. The style is called "Rugged Classic." I then noticed one sitting out on display on a table so I tell them "Here it is - this one." They brought it out and escorted me to a dressing room so I could try them on. After they left I open the box and they were Iron Rangers. What the ****?

That store needs more Robert's.

that's the stupid thing about their sizing, the rest of the ocbd fits great. their sleeves always seem baggy to me though. as has been said many times, it doesn't seem like you can pull of a really good "slim" fit with their clothes otr.

just general info on the rest of the stuff in the pics for those who may be interested:
1st
jeans: sufu 660 contest jeans
shoes: yuketen cap-toe oxfords

2nd
jeans: apc rescue
shoes: red wing wabasha chukkas

3rd
jeans: rrl slim bootcut
shoes: yuketen suede bucks

*both pair of yuketens from ebay

Thanks, those jeans are nice too. Too bad APC doesn't work for me, the back rise goes right up ****** crack.

Definitely. I even tell the managers when something has been marked down online but not in the store. Kind of embarrasses them, I think. They always give me the online markdown. I recommend that you always check the online prices before you go into the store--things are often marked down online before they are in the store, but the store has to honor the lowest price.

I have to loiter and ponder because I'm so damned indecisive! I pick stuff up, start walking to the cash register, turn around, go put it back. Figure if I do this with the same thing more than three times I just need to go ahead and do it.

Tonight I did this with a couple of lambswool sweaters, a pullover shawl and a gray-trimmed navy cardi. They were only 70 bucks but I just couldn't do it. I don't know why I'm like that--guilt? I have a feeling I'm going back for that cardi.

They already add many new stuff. They probably won't have many more new stuff to add.

went to the local store earlier this week, but hardly saw anything new. tried on the premium officer chino, then deleted it from my list OFFICIALLY.

hopefully they will add some new outerwear. if not, I am gonna spend my gift card on the chambray shirt.

I love the premium chino.

I didn't see much new tonight from what I saw two weeks ago. A few new sweaters maybe. Might pick up the lambswool cardi, but I'm on the fence about lambswool.

No real markdowns either. About the only thing I'd be willing to plunk down some coin for would be the pea coat. Looks and fits nice.

I 'need' outerwear, but also have a list of nice-to-haves: J Crew x Sperry chukka Chambray Utility shirt Secret Wash shirt in gunmetal giant gingham http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/Mens...7271/17271.jsp is the chambray shirt pretty thin? I tried on the GAP chambray, damn thin! but it's only half price of the J Crew one, so...

It's no thinner than it should be. I think of chambray as fairly light material though.

I know what you mean. I'm also 5'5, 150, and JCrew never fits quite right. It's like I'm just between sizes (XS, S.) I always have a lot of room in my underarms, and in the arms themselves. It drives me nuts. And the lengths are often far too long. Jackets and suiting are a complete no-go, as they don't even make a 36S.
