On topic, though, I'd like to wear more CdG and Junya inspired stuff nowadays. I felt fly as **** in that fit with the straw hat and multicolored shirt. I get that I can't do such literal interpretations of runway looks every day for high school, so I am trying to find a good balance between loud CdG/JW pieces and stylings and my older, more high school-appropriate stuff like slim jeans, khakis, washed OCBD's, white t's, and plain sweaters. Anyone care to enlighten me on pulling off runway-inspired steeze without looking unapproachable or ridiculous in the real world?

Smile all the time so you don't look like a penis.

This doesn't mean anything. Designers style their stuff quite differently, seasonal and intra-collection variations notwithstanding. Gareth Pugh is sorta hard to style but Junya is generally quite ok. I dunno, I mostly wear runway pieces so I guess I do "runway" styling.

I think I see what you mean, Fuuma. Out of curiosity, how did you dress in high school?

wmmky - I sort of agree with what Fuuma is saying. You should just try to put good fits together everyday. If you are really worried about wearing too much bright flashy (say CDG) type stuff, just pair it with something boring like slim chinos or a striped crew pullover or some ****.

If you're passionate about something there's not much anyone can do to stop you doing it (or in this case wearing it), at the end of the day anyone who treats you differently in a negative way will only show how prejudice and superficial they are. Just look at the people at SZ, most members there wear fairly unorthodox clothing and yet they seem to live fairly normal, enjoyable lives. I've worn some weird stuff too to a lighter degree and I've had no troubles.

Fuuma was born with a cigarette in his mouth and the beginnings of a beard. At the age of 3 he could recite "Les Fleurs du mal" from memory and had bedded a dozen women. Needless to say, his high school experiences and ours will have little in common.

Iz truth! Also if memory serves me correctly he went to a school for 'gifted' children, being a little smoking and swearing intellectual might not be so odd there.
