Where in GA did you find that? I'm calling around Atlanta and can't find it anywhere. Just called eight stores, no luck. P.S. Hi Bob. (?)

Actually didn't buy it in Atlanta, so you may yet be in luck. Keep trying, and ask the places you're calling if they expect to get any, you may get lucky. This stuff goes VERY fast. I missed out last year and haven't seen a single bottle anywhere in the entire time.

Ah. I found one place that has it in their system as out of stock, the rest said they have never carried it or wouldn't have any coming in (read: "I have no idea what this idiot is talking about, we have Red Stagg"). Did you order it?

I'm going to be up in NYC the next 5 days, anyone know of somewhere to get it up there?

It might be easier to find it in suburbia than NYC. I would keep trying the stores around you, they might not have received it yet, not sold it all already.

Anyone have an opinion on Elijah Craig 18-year? Worth the lucre, or are there better options for the money?

Had a taste of the Rare Eagle 10 that is being steeped with orange rind and vanilla pod. Very fragrant, mellowing nicely. Another sip next weekend.

Verrrrrry oaky in my opinion. Not bad, but very one dimensional. I think the 12 is a great value for the money, but I'm not as much of a fan of the 18.

^^^ I looked them over - not expecting them to be worth a damn. Then I caught the Bulleitt, Knob, and Makers' reviews and found them spot-on. Might have to pick up that bottle of Parkers I passed on.

Yeah, I was surprised it was semi-helpful.

Having another glass of George T Stagg with about a tsp of water. This is fantastic stuff. Hands down favorite bourbon. The Eagle Rare 17 yo is not bad this year, but just not even in the same league at the GTS IMHO.

but to be in Kentucky where the shoe slections are slim, but we do know our Bourbons. Forget what you have heard read or been told.

Go out and find a bottle of Four Roses limited edtion ( or go to japan and get a bottle of black label) Four roses has 10 diffrent receipes, and each one is better that my second choice.

Parker 25 year reserve and that is the not so humble opion of Randolph Parker Burbon is thicker than blood

I checked back in hopes of finding some Stagg, but did not see any. I didn't leave empty handed though.

Do you mean the Four Roses Mariage?

Also the Parker I think you are referring to is 27 year.
