Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I didn't attempt a definitive list of all the posts I either personally liked or appreciated

I can cope with minor abominations if the rest of the fit heavily outweighs them

I liked the suit - if memory serves me right it was the way the shirt collar met with the suit lapels that stopped it from passing from good to excellent - the collar looked like it was sitting on the lapels rather than underneath them. The tie was good, the photographer was fun - only a narrow miss

I'm not that cheap to sell myself for mere kind words - Bvlgari ties might do it though

I see you more as a, "Does this tie go with this shirt?" type of poster.

My second attempt at guest-editing - Friday 02nd October (late evening GMT) to a similar time Friday 9th

A far harder week to edit down than last week – far too many good posts.

A special mention is in order for Mr Sam’s work – as it’s got it’s own thread I won’t include pictures here, but they’ve been some of the highlights of the week.

Once again my sincerest appreciation for anyone who has taken the time to post a fit.

This won’t be a definitive list of looks I’ve enjoyed this week, and is probably slightly more biased towards my personal taste than my normal comments in thread. Having said that I won’t necessarily exclude looks that I can appreciate but wouldn’t want to wear. I shall endeavour to ensure that the thread remains highly subjective and completely unfair:

…………………………………..>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Once again I start the weeks review with a sports jacket I envy. I have to agree with Doc that the tie does benefit from being subdued by the vest though:

It’s normally Niidawg’s tie/ps/shirt combinations that catch my eye, but this time it was a casual fit. The dark denim works well with the natural hues and the scarf balances the jacket:

Attitude:

Obviously appearing in this thread is a much higher accolade than featuring in Esquire:

I’m not convinced this isn’t a blatant attempt at currying my favour through wearing an ascot… If it was it worked.

I’m not sure why this one jumped out at me as much as it did, but here it is because it did:

For the jacket and tie:

As much for the photo as the fit, but it’s a nice fit:

The cap is the cherry on the cake:

I loved this combination of pattern and colour:

On a roll this week with several great looks:

I want this jacket:

I want this suit:

This coat would find a space in my wardrobe too:

Okay so the photograph conveys more atmosphere than detail, but I like it because of that. It’s also an extreme example of how fit can effect perceived body proportions:

Odd waistcoat fit – everyone should try it:

Convinces me a round-neck sweater can work well under a jacket:

I need a brolly:

Simple yet elegant:

The coat makes the look – great fun:

Texture and colour combinations:

Use of white:

Far too many shots left out but still I had to keep it to a reasonable length…

Pic of the week without question:

Well and this one:

For ease of next editor (mug) I stopped (collapsed at pg 4116)
